Spawning in
You are a clone. Your teammates are clones. Your enemies, also, are all clones. Therefore, you must kill them. (Your enemies, not your teammates.)
The current number of clones in the game can be seen at the top of the screen. The total number of clones can never increase, so the only way to add more clones to your team is to steal them. For instruction on how to steal clones, see below.
Note that when you spawn, your team's total clone number will be reduced! Naturally, this means that when your clone reserves are at zero, you won't be able to spawn in. That is, until someone captures a clone jar...

Building Clone Pumps
Your goal is to steal clones from an enemy clan. You can do this in one of two ways: you can build a clone pump, which will steadily reduce the enemy's clone reserves and add them to your own. Or you can simply steal a jar of clones from the enemy base, and return it to your own. Whichever you choose, it won't be easy - the opposing clan will be trying to take the pumps as well, and the bases are heavily defended.
To start building a pump, simply go to one of the pump locations, and find the unbuilt 'ghost' pump.

Walk up to the base of the pump and touch it, and it will start to build. The texture will change dramatically to indicate that the building is happening successfully.
Note that the health bar will fill up over time as the pump builds. The pump won't start working until it's completely built. |
|
| To speed up the building process, you can use the secondary fire (R-click) of the link gun. |

This is what your finished pump will look like. |

There are three 'Jar Points' in each base; the clone jars will appear here. You can only pick up one jar at a time, however. When you grab a jar, get back to your base as fast as you can! You'll notice that if you get on a Moscowboy when you have a jar, you'll drop it, so you'll have to use a 'cuda or the Lounge Tank. Once you get back to your base, run to one of your own jar points to drop their clones into your own reserves.

Stealing clones has a few subtleties that are easy to miss.
Firstly, as soon as a clone jar is picked up, that number of clones will immediately be subtracted from a team's total number of clones - the clones are in the jar, after all.
This leads right into the second subtlety: there may be more clones in the game than the clone counters at the top of the screen indicate. Don't be surprised to see that the opposing team has 0 clones one minute, then 5 the next. Those clones aren't being created - just dropped into the repository.
Finally, a clone jar that is dropped will eventually expire - and all the clones inside that jar will be lost. The jars disappear pretty quick, so let your teammates know if you drop one! |
