Last Saturday, our Quality Assurance Lead, Jimmy, ran the Twin Lights Half Marathon, a 13.1 mile race along the coast of Cape Ann.  And he did it dressed as P. Walter Tugnut, the hero of our latest game, Shoot Many Robots.  But it gets even better.  Jimmy donned Walter’s attire in what is known as the Full Princess.  Yup, on a hot sunny day, he put on a wool knit cap, down puffer vest, tutu, wings and tiara and competed in a half-marathon.

The course stretched from Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester all the way to downtown Rockport along the gorgeous Massachusetts seacoast.  We are super proud of Jimmy – he came in 21st place overall, and 3rd place in his age group.  Surrounded by runners in lightweight, breathable gear, Jimmy flew past them in his Walter attire.  Can you imagine how fast he would’ve been without wearing a costume? Jimmy had this to say about his epic journey:

The race was a success!  (I survived!)  It was 70 degrees and sunny, but I rarely noticed the heavy yellow goose down vest I was wearing due to all of the cheers from spectators, officials, and even other runners.  Although I never heard the "Go TUGNUT!" phrase I was hoping for... I did hear many other cheers including:

• Tutu
• Bumblebee
• Ballerina
• Princess
• Fairy
• Fairy Princess
• HEY, no flying with those wings!
• Nice legs

I might of hallucinated hearing some of those things... but the crowd was definitely lively and responsive.  Overall I had a lot of fun doing this.

Luckily the moment that Jimmy crossed the finish line was captured on film, as were the reactions of some of the spectators (check out the little girls in the gallery image).

It is safe to say that this is the most outrageous example of P. Walter Tugnut fandom that we have seen to date.  Congratulations, Jimmy!  Your dedication has not gone unnoticed!  And many thanks to Nuvision Action Image for the incredible images.  So awesome.

Aw wow, that would have been awesome to see!  That’s almost my actual Tugnut character too.  Damn, I love that game.  Well done to Jimmy too, great job smile

Cheap Snapback Hats played Chicago Bulls Snapback probably the most important matches Chicago Bulls Snapback Hats in my career against him and probably Chicago Bulls Hats him against me, thats why it makes the MLB Snapback Hats match a little bit more special than NBA Snapback Hats the rest.Federer agreed: I have had some great NFL Snapback Hats matches with him all around the world by now.Atlanta Braves Hats He has such great movement that this is a Boston Red Sox Hats court that works well for him.

I could only imagine how much Jimmy perspired with the outfit he had on.  Well, I guess it’s for a good cause right?  Would you happen to have videos of the race?

What is with that pink skirt in the guy?  Is that really a part of the costume or is he just trying to get some attention.  I wonder if he was able to run properly with that gear on.

It’s so nice to see the support of the group for Jimmy and he really gave it his best shot. Even though he didn’t make it to the 1st place, he still gave the fans something to be happy about. It won’t be a surprise if more and more people get interested with the game after this.

I have supported this race to the best of my financial capacity and have even participated in the marathon albeit for just a short distance. I would like to congratulate the team for a successful event, I hope you would be able to succeed in your future endeavors too. I have enjoyed all the activities I participated in.

I can only imagine how uncomfortable he felt while wearing those costume. It is hard enough trying to battle the heat in that race, but he has the guts to finish it all up. I guess it was for a good cause after all.

I was so impressed to see him run that distance despite donning that weird outfit. I guess when you are really dedicated to something, there is virtually nothing that can stop you from getting what you want. It is a good thing that the organizers supported him all the way.

By the looks in your face, I would say that you enjoyed every moment of the race. It is most evident when you crossed the finished line and you had that sigh of relief. It was a very hot day and I can only imagine that it must be a powerful force inside you that helped you go all the way.
